Five Things You Should Learn to Practice On International Women’s Day

As Women’s Day arrives we get to find many inspirational and motivational stories of successful women all around the world.

When we are talking about very important aspects like equality, empowerment, freedom, etc. But have you ever wondered why it is so hard for a woman to be treated equally? Why do women need any such campaign to make a change in their life?

I wonder why women themselves never think about their own. Why are they in constant need or search of support? Why don’t they speak and stand up for themselves?

So, here are some very important points women should learn to practice.

            1)   Focus On Yourself

·      In the journey of our daily life fulfilling all our duties viz, as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, work professionals, etc., we tend to forget to focus on ourselves.

·      Eventually, we forget who we are, what we are here for, and what is our likes/dislikes, choices, and hobbies.

·      Take out some time, follow your passion, and try to fulfil your dreams and desires.

             2)   Be Kind to Yourself

·      We always tend to blame ourselves for any situation that comes our way, either personal/social or professional.

·      Everything has happened for a reason and it’s a natural process. Ups and downs come and go. There is nothing to deal with you or your fault.

·      It is situational. Accept it and move on.

·      Self-blame will lead you towards low self-confidence and low self-esteem.

·      Be kind and humble towards yourself. Do not blame yourself for anything.

3)   Spare Sometime for Your Loved Ones

·      In balancing between personal and professional life, we couldn’t find time for the people we love or we love to spend more time with.

·      Meet those people regularly, and share your life with them, your happiness, problems, victory, and failure.

·      Try to spend time with the people with whom you get happiness, pleasure, love, satisfaction & peace.

             4)   Take Care of Physical as well as Mental Health

·      Physical health is as important as mental health.

·      Step out of your home, walk, run, do yoga or play any physical game for at least 25 minutes a day.

·      When you exercise, your body releases good happy hormones which in a way protects your mental health too.

             5)   Speak Out for Yourself

·      In society, people try to pull you down in every possible way.

·      We used to hear from a very young age that, a girl should not study more, not go out often, not ride a bike, not wear jeans/pants, and most heard is do not speak in front of anyone, not have an opinion.

·      I never get the proper answer. Why is this so!!!!

·      But now when I am thinking about that, I get to know it is because Women did not speak for themselves. We must speak and take a stand for ourselves on our own.

·      Do not listen always. It is not your duty to listen to everyone. Please be vocal about your thoughts, ambitions, and desires.

·      Do not be afraid of anything or anyone.

·      DO not let someone control your life. Take the steering of your life into your hand.

·      Do not seek help from others and don’t wait for others to come and give you support.

·      Nobody can help you unless and until you help yourself.

·      Be a Fearless, Strong, Independent, Courageous woman of your own. Live for yourself and be proud of that.

“I raise my voice- not so that I can shout. But so that those without a voice can be heard. We cannot all succeed when half of us is held back.”  – Malala Yousafzai

Wish you all the women out there a happy women’s day. Fly high and achieve your dreams. 🌈
