My Dear Amazing Friends,

Happy Friendship Day to the squad that has been with me through it all – from the days of pigtails and playgrounds to the late-night talks and adulting struggles. As I sit down to write this letter, a wave of nostalgia and gratitude sweeps over me. Through all the twists and turns of life, you have been my constant – My partner in crime, my pillar of strength, and my endless source of laughter.

I can still vividly remember the days when our biggest worry was who got the bigger half of the last candy bar. Little did we know that years later, we would still be fighting over the last bite of food we shared. From building sandcastles to building our futures, we have come a long way, my friends. 

From the innocent days of childhood when we chased butterflies and dreamed big dreams, to navigating the treacherous waters of the school where we shared secrets under our breaths during boring lectures (remember how we mastered the art of silent communication 😜), our journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Our school days were a blend of giggles, gossip, and the occasional detention (thanks for those genius ideas, by the way!) Remember the time we convinced our teacher that the cow did eat our homework? The adventures we have had, and the lessons we have learned – both inside and outside the classroom.

Oh, the mischievous stunts we embarked upon during our school days! From arranging elaborate pranks to plotting to conquer the canteen’s last piece of samosa, we were a force to be reckoned with. Our late-night calls that stretched into the early hours, fueled by laughter, secrets, and sometimes tears, formed the very fabric of our unbreakable bond. And oh, the stories we could talk about our misadventures! From our first crushes (remember how we’d analyze every word and gesture like detectives on a mission?) to the utterly nonsensical and hilarious escapades that still leave us in splits, we have created a treasure trove of memories that are pure gold.

Then came the rollercoaster ride that was college – a melting pot of aspirations, experiences, and endless possibilities. Together, we navigated through the maze of assignments, journals, exams, and crushes that felt like a whirlwind. Remember how we write and draw each other’s journals on the steps of the porch, lab and garden fueled with bateta bhungla (Gujju Famous Snack), samosas and lots of determination, to conquer the toughest deadlines? Those moments of triumph and those bleary-eyed chats are etched in my heart forever.

From the countless advice sessions where we dished out wisdom (and a reality check or two) to the midnight calls that turned into early morning conversations, your presence has been a constant in my life. We have laughed till we cried, and we have cried till we laughed – that’s the beauty of our friendship.

Life has taken us on separate paths, but the distance has only made our friendships stronger. Through jobs, relationships, and the unpredictable twists of fate, we have remained each other’s sounding boards, advisors, and partners in crime. Your unwavering support during my toughest times has been a lifeline, and your contagious laughter has been the balm to my soul.

As I celebrate this friendship Day, I want you to know how deeply you have touched my life. You have taught me the true meaning of friendship – a bond that defies time and distance, a relationship built on trust, love, and shared moments that no number of words can truly capture.

So, here’s to us – the dreamers, the pranksters, the midnight philosophers, the partners – in -crime. Here’s to the tears we have wiped, the laughter we have shared, and the adventures we have embarked upon. Here’s to the memories we have created and the ones we’re yet to make. Here’s to us – the unstoppable team that has tackled life’s challenges with a smile, who has held each other up when things got tough, and who has celebrated every victory – big or small – as if it were our own.
