Joy Of Giving

Joy Of Giving

Whenever we read or listen to anything about the Joy of Giving, it starts with the famous quote, β€œThe more you give, the more you receive.”

Our society has been practising this idea of giving for a long. They connect it with our Hindu Shastra or Bhagwat Geeta. Which states Karma returns.Β

Β

But actually, these both are very different things. Giving anything to anyone is the process in which you should not expect anything in return. In the case of Karma, every single thing that you do during your lifetime will decide your destiny in this life and the next life also. So, karma is self-oriented and giving is selfless.

Β

Now coming to the Joy of giving. Joy or happiness is a state of mind. It is a feeling that keeps people healthy and fit. The joy of giving last longer than the joy of getting. Our Lives are fulfilling when we give and share.Β

Β

Giving can be anything. It is not bounded by only materialistic things. People have been performing many monetary charities like donations for children, giving food to the needy, making houses for the homeless, etc. Many Government organizations and NGOs working on it.Β

Β

But when we are talking about self-care, mental health, and emotional issues like depression and loneliness very less help is there. So, you can do a small gesture for those too who need that kind of help.Β

Β

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring. The small gesture has the potential to turn a life around.

Β

You have noticed some posts on the internet, a Person holding a board offeringΒ β€œFree Hugs”.Β Yesterday while scrolling through my phone one video melt my heart. In that video, a person holding the board shows β€œTell me your story and I will give you 10/-Rs.”

Β

They were running a campaign for depression. The whole idea is to listen to those who do not have anybody to listen to their problems and their story about what they are facing or going through in life. I will share that video link at the end.

Β

Another important thing is to give with a lot of love and affection. A famous quote from Mother Teresa SaysΒ β€œIt is not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.”

Β

Dr Deepak Chopra, an Indian-American author and public speaker in his book, β€œThe Seven Spiritual Laws of Success” emphasizes that the intention behind our giving and receiving is the most important thing.Β

Β

When the act of giving is joyful when it is unconditional and from the heart, then the energy behind the giving increases many times over. But, if we give grudgingly, there is no energy behind that giving.

Β

If we feel we lost something through the act of giving, then the gift is not truly given and will not cause an increase.Β

Β

When giving results in an experience of love, joy, peace, charity, caring and self-worth, the process of expansion has begun.Β

Β

The gifts of care, attention, affection, appreciation & love are some of the most precious gifts we can give and they don’t cost anything.

Β

You open a channel for the kind of happiness that no one can ever steal from you. So,Β be a giver, not a taker.Β By that, you can inspire many others also. You can make a chain of Humanity which is the most needed thing in the world right now. Contribute to that with little effort and you will feel tremendous joy and happiness.

Β

So, Be free, be happy, and be independent in your thoughts. Take the gear of your life into your own hands. Feel good.Β Do give your feedback. What do you think? Share your views in the comments.
